The price listed includes the Writer's Block room for three nights (Th/F/Sat) all meals and all retreate activities.  Travel to and from Chester is not included, although a shuttle from the XNA (Fayetteville) airport can be arranged free of charge.
 
About Writer's Block Room:
 
Room 1, Writer's Block, is located at the front corner of the building. This is the perfect place to stay if you’re looking for windows of inspiration. Having three windows it's a room that lets in wonderful amounts of both sun and moon. Also for those of you that the muse strikes in the middle of the night, the train might wake you on its schedule of 11pm, 3 am, & 5 am and spur on its own inspiration. With fun creative decor and a typewriter, it's perfect for 1-2 guests looking to unplug and reflect within for a fresh creative flow.

  • Retreat Refund & Cancellation Policy

    We understand that plans can change, and we want to provide clarity on our refund policy while ensuring the sustainability of this special retreat experience. Please review the following terms before completing your registration.

    1. Refund Timeline

    • A full refund will be issued for cancellations made on or before April 1st, 2025.
    • A partial refund of 70% of your booking will be available for cancellations made between April 2nd, 2025 and April 16th, 2025.
    • Cancellations made after April 16th, 2025 will not be eligible for a refund but may be transferred to another participant (see Transferability below).

     

    2. Processing Fees

    • All refunds will be subject to a processing fee of $100 to cover administrative and transaction costs.

     

    3. Transferability

    • If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person at no additional cost. Please notify us in writing at least 1 day before the retreat to facilitate the transfer.

     

    4.  Force Majeure

    • In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, travel restrictions, pandemics, or other force majeure events), we will offer:
      • A full refund, OR
      • The option to transfer your registration to a future retreat, OR
      • A credit for a future event.
    • Decisions regarding force majeure refunds will be made based on the situation at hand, and we will communicate all options promptly.

     

    5. Refund Processing Timeframe

    • Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of the refund request.

     

    6. Cancellation by the Organizer

    • In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the retreat, all registrants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer their registration to a future event.
